Is it true that you're likely to say anything during sedation dentistry?

I heard that people will say literally anything thats on their minds when theyre drugged up before and maybe after they do the work. People will casually talk about secrets like the affair theyre having, or the drugs they take etc etc. Is there any truth to that?

Concur with Grandpa, you are unlikely to say much of anything. Most practicing dentists have a story or two from the old days, but these days the amount of sedation is so carefully calibrated to the patient that incidents are few and far between. I suppose if you were really worried about it you could ask your dentist about it well in advance of the procedure. He or she would probably re ure you that it doesn't really happen. Then, if you were really really worried about it you could ask them to not talk about anything you might say. Most dentists and technicians would probably agree to an informal doctor / patient confidentiality agreement
Mostly rumor. You will be out of it and not saying very much if anything at all. Perhaps you are thinking of sodium pentothal truth serum that was used to question people. This also at one time was used as a general anesthetic but is rarely if ever used anymore
