does the dentist sleep your mouth to put braces on?

I also need to know if it hurts and the steps please help and if you can please give me tips on how to get rid of my fear for dentist!

No, your awake. And no it do not hurt, they just put this thing on ur lips and it pulls them back, and they just glue it on the tooth
okay i will tell you my story from when i got braces No they do not put you to sleep. I saw this tube thing that looked like a needle and freaked out. then the dentist was like where's the needle? i pointed and she laughed and said they do not use needles that was glue. lol. so do not be scared. it doesnt hurt to get it on put it aches for the next few days. advil helps. itll be worth it in the end. pretty much every one hates braces and dentists, but they can be a real life saver that would i think to be a dentist cause you have to follow all your own rules, but most of the time dentists have the prettiest teeth youve ever seen they just put a plastic thing to keep your lips apart then glue then place them where the braces should go then put a light to set the glue then put the wire thats it good luck!
Seriously. there is nothing painful about getting your braces on o. o I do not know why so many people think that. They are not digging into your gums or anything. everything is just glued on, or cemented rather, and it doesn't hurt to get them off. Things rarely hurt at the orthodontists. It's a bit painful when your teeth start to shift, but you get used to that
no the ortho dosen't put you 2 sleep. 1. go in 2. sit in chair 3. they put this rubber thing in mouth to hold cheeks 4. put this stuff on teeth 5. holds blue light 6. puts band on back teeth 7. puts brackets on 8. holds blue light 9. puts wire on 10. puts the color bands on to hold wire 11. your done dont be scared it dose not hurt to get them on but it will a couple hours later and the first couple days good luck
